"The Race"

"let us run with endurance the race that is set before us," Hebrews 12:1

"looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross," Hebrews 12:2

Even Christ had a post to aim at, a goal he desired, for it says he endured the cross not just for you and me, but for the joy that was set before Him. He had an assignment from the Father! He knew his purpose!

We each have a race set before us, and I believe when we understand clearly the race that is set before us by God, we will find joy in the running of it that will inspire and motivate us beyond our wildest dreams! Run, Forest, Run! Run, Lily Run! Run, Mike, Run!

tim, glad to see the blogging thing catching on among people i know!

you're right. when we understand our purpose, we can keep our focus and patiently stay in the race. in marathon running, they say you "hit the wall" somewhere between miles 16 and 20. this does a lot of runners in, but for the one's who hang in there, there's a second wind on the other side. may we all continue to run through the wall and finish the race!

i'll add your blog to my links section, and look forward to reading your thoughts.
